The senate has called on the Federal Government to improve facilities in National Youth Service Corps camps and provide experienced medical personnel across the country.
 
‎The senate  says  it is saddened by the recurring deaths of NYSC members in orientation camps across the country because of  the absence of experienced medical personnel.
 
The upper chamber advised all state governors to produce ambulance services as a condition for posting NYSC members to their states.

In another development, a bill for an act to establish the Office of the Federal and State Independent Prosecutor by Senator Ben Murray-Bruce was withdrawn on the floor of the senate.
 
Leading debate on the general principle of the bill, Senator Bruce said when passed it will provide a high level of independence and credibility.
 
In his contribution, Senator Dino Melaye said the bill has the capacity to ameliorate country problems as regards monopoly of the states.
 
Meanwhile, Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, says the bill cannot be passed as it conflicts with the ongoing review of the constitution.
