Trial of Justice of the Supreme Court, Sylvester Ngwuta by the Federal High Court, was stalled on allegation of untimely service of trial processes on the defence team.

Defence counsel, Kanu Agabi, filed an oral motion for adjournment to study the documentary evidence brought against his client.

Trial judge, John Tsoho, adjourned hearing to January 18 as he held that the defence is within the law to request for adjournment.

Justice Ngwuta is being accused of  illegally retaining over N35 million,  contrary to the money laundering prohibition act.

He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
