The Federal Government says it is worried by the threat posed by the activities of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra and the Indigenous People of Biafra which have in recent times turned violent.
Secretary to the Government of the Federation, David Babachir Lawal who expressed government’s concern at the opening of the fourth eminent persons and experts group meeting in Abuja, said the government is making efforts to engage stakeholders in the Southeast to douse the tension.
Mr. Lawal said security agents have engaged members of the National Assembly and traditional rulers from the south-east with a view to creating a synergy to positively engage the Biafra agitators.
