Drake, the Canadian rapper was nominated for 13 awards and was able to take home four.

The 2016 American Music Awards aired live from Los Angeles, when the nominees for the award were announced, Drake broke the record previously held by Michael Jackson, with 13 total nominations. 

Tonight, The Hiphop and R & B singer attended the award show where he won a total of four awards.

Two of his wins aired live on the show while the other two didn’t. Drake accepted the awards for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop album and Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist live on the show.

He thanked  the city of Toronto, his fans, and parents. Additionally, he disclosed is upcoming music tagged  ‘More Life’.

Drake also won Favorite Soul/R&B song for “Work” with Rihanna and Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist for “Hotline Bling”. Congrats to Drake!
