All Africa Music Awards, AFRIMA, is an award platform to celebrate the talents of Africa, the music and the rich heritage of the continent for social change.

AFRIMAWARDS 2016 was a very successful event hosted by Lagos in partnership with the African Union and participation from across Africa.

The Red Carpet was record breaking and it was hosted by Bonang Matheba, Ika Jang and Ahmed Soultan at the Eko Hotel and Suites Victoria Island, Lagos.

It was a night to remember for Falz, as he was named as the Revelation of the year and the Ojuelegba Crooner Wizkid, as he was named as the artiste of the year.

He also won the Best Worldwide Act at the award ceremony which held in Ahoy Rotterdam Rotterdam in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Sunny Ade, the Nigerian Music Legend also received a Special Recognition Award.

Late Papa Wemba's wife and daughther received a life time achievement award, Yaw Wazobiafm presented the award for Best Artiste/Duo Group in African Contemporary. 

We all enjoyed BrymOlawale's performance in honour of King Sunny Ade, Cameroonian Singer Stanley Enow thrilled the crowd with his music, Lovely performance by the beautiful Simi and Nigerian Artiste Seyi Shay thrills us. 

 Amazing performances by Darey and Phynofino’s was electric and everyone loved it. His Excellency Akinwunmi Ambode, Governor of Lagos state was live at AFRIMA2016
