The Trade Union Congress of Nigeria has vowed to resist any form of fuel increase above N145 per litre.
The union is instead asking the Federal Government to improve the living conditions of Nigerians.
The TUC President, Bobboi Kaigama and its acting General-Secretary, Simeso Amachree, in a statement yesterday noted that the economy was already on its knees and government should reduce the cost of governance and create a more friendly business environment and jobs.
Menawhil a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and former President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Olisa Agbakoba says the country can get out of recession only by political will and strong leadership.
Agbakoba stated that the country still does not have a body of economic team, and this has led to lack of proper economic policies.
He however believes the government should prepare public sector borrowing requirement as long as the debt ratio sustains it.
