The Lagos State branch of the Nigerian Medical Association has been dissolved.

This was part of the decisions reached at the National Executive Council meeting of the national umbrella body for medical doctors in the country held in Enugu on Sunday.

In a communiqué, the National Executive Committee condemned the emergence of a factional leadership in the Lagos State branch and approved the dissolution.

It constituted a three-man committee to run the affairs of the branch which has been asked to conduct elections within a month.
