The Ekiti State Government has issued a two-week ultimatum to roadside traders to relocate or be sanctioned.

The traders has been asked to move to Awedele and Agric Olope Markets where shops and stalls have been provided by the government.

Governor Ayodele Fayose gave the warning  during a meeting with representatives of street traders and market women at the government house in Ado-Ekiti.

Fayose has been described severally as friends of grassroot people but with the plan to relocate some traders, some of whom he had visited on few occasions, his popularity may drop.

He was at loggerheads with some farmers sometimes ago when the state government acquired the farms to build state airport.
