Immediate past coach of the Super Eagles, Sunday Oliseh and new FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura has joined others to mourn the demise of former Nigeria Senior Team Coach and Captain, Stephen keshi.
Oliseh, who was Keshi’s successor for the Super Eagles, wrote on his twitter handle how sad he was to hear the news.
He said, “horrible news and sad day as our legendary captain and brother stephen keshi dies. May his blessed soul rest in peace. We lost an iconic hero yesterday.” 

To Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, the death of Stephen Okechukwu Keshi is a great loss to the Nation and to Edo State.
The governor, in a statement signed by his chief press secretary, Mr. Peter Okhiria, described the late Stephen Keshi, fondly called the ‘big boss’, as a thoroughbred professional, complete gentleman, a good citizen who impacted positively on his immediate environment where he lived a quiet life.

Also the House of Representatives has  paid tribute to the late Stephen Keshi describing his demise as a great loss to the country.
The lawmakers at plenary extolled the virtues of the former Super Eagles Skipper and had a one minute silence in his honour.
