President Muhammadu Buhari  has reacted to the sudden passage of the former Super Eagles Captain and Coach, Stephen Keshi, saying that Nigerian football wIll no longer remain the same with his exit.
Buhari stated this in a post on his official twitter handle, @ngrpresident.
He said Nigerians would miss Keshi because he gave his all for the country.
He said with keshi’s death, Nigeria had lost a great sportsman, football player and coach as well as a citizen.
In his condolence message, the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki says that the death is both painful and unfortunate.

He stated that it came at a time the nation is in dire need of wisdom and experience of sports professionals to stabilise its soccer architecture.
He lauded the late coach for his monumental contributions and called on the state’s government to immortalise him; while also commiserating with the children, family and the people of delta state.         

 In his own reaction, the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu described the passing of stephen keshi as big blow to the nation.
He  urged that the former super eagles coach be immortalised for his fervent service to the nation, and patriotism.
