The Police High Command has ordered the immediate redeployment of the Commissioner of Police in Enugu State, Nwodibo Ekechukwu.
Mr. Ekechukwu has been accused of failing in his duties by not preventing the deadly attack by suspected Fulani herdsmen on Ukpabi Nimbo community area of the state.
The incident which has drawn wide criticism led to the deaths of at least 40 people.
A former Force Public Relations Officer, Emmanuel Ojukwu has been deployed to take charge of the command.
