The new Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ojaja II was inaugurated on Monday as Osun State Governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola officially presented him with staff of office.

The event, which took place at Enuwa Square, opposite the palace of the Yoruba foremost monarch witnessed a new dawn in the history of the ancient city as hundreds of dignitaries graced the occasion to honour the king.

Among the personalities that attended the event were Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, the host governor, Rauf Argbesola, Lagos governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, his Oyo State counterpart, Abiola Ajimobi, the All Progressive Congress National Leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the party’s former National Chairman, Chief, Bisi Akande and the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar III.

Also at the coronation ceremony were former Minister of Defence, Theophilus Danjuma, Chief Olagunsoye Oyinlola, the National Leader of the Odu’a Peoples Congress (OPC), Chief Gani Adams, ex-Oyo State governor, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala, captains of industry, politicians and traditional and religious leaders.
