Pope Francis is due to start his three-nation African tour in Kenya, he will then stop in Uganda and the Central African Republic.

The popes visit is to highlight the Catholic Church’s growth in Africa and how necessary the region is to the church’s future, experts say.

The pope is expected to tackle corruption and poverty during his visit and will start with a meeting with President Kenyatta. Thousands are expected to come out on the streets of Nairobi to welcome the Pope.
