Mourinho Handed Four-Game UEFA Ban For Anthony Taylor Comments

AS Roma manager, Jose Mourinho has been banned from four UEFA matches after he directed abusive language at referee Anthony Taylor at the Europa League final in Budapest.

It was revealed that the former Tottenham Hotspurs coach and his staff were verbally abusive towards the Premier League official numerous times during their loss to Sevilla

A footage on social media showed Mourinho talking to the officiating team in the car park, tagging their performance a “disgrace” after the match.

Mourinho while reacting to the situation, continued his criticism of the officials in his post-match press conference, saying: “I need to defend my lads, and I must say that we are used to it, but still seeing this kind of refereeing in a European final is really, really hard.

“It was an intense, vibrant game with a referee who seemed Spanish. It was yellow, yellow, yellow all the time.”

Meanwhile, Taylor was not the only one who insulted but his family were also harassed as they embarked on their journey home from the final.

After supporters pursued the referee as a result of an ill-tempered final on Wednesday evening, video clips were seen all over on social media, showing them being ushered out of a cafe and into a secure area by airport security.
