FIFA Honours Osimhen With Special Jersey, Ball

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has received an honour from world football body from the FIFA.

This development comes after the talented Napoli striker was conferred with the National Award of Member of the Order of the Federal Republic by former President, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.)

On his feat and achievements in football so far, Osimhen started his international football career in 2015 when scored 10 goals for the Golden Eaglets in 2015 at the fifth U-17 World Cup title in Chile.

He won the Golden Boot award after emerging as the tournament’s top scorer, scoring 10 goals in seven matches.

Osimhen after scoring 10 goals broke the long-standing record of nine goals in a single tournament previously jointly held by Frenchman Florent Sinama Pongolle and Ivorian Souleymane Coulibaly.

The 2015 CAF Youth Player of The Year prize has also helped Napoli win the Serie A title for the first time in 33 years and also became the first African to win the Capocannoniere (Serie A Top Scorer Award).

He also has to his credit a 14-year jinx of being the first player since Zlatan Ibrahimovic to win the Scudetto and the Capocannoniere same season.
