Arsenal on Saturday defeated Brighton 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium to stay on top of the Premier League table after Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz both found the back of the net for the Gunners.

Mikel Arteta’s men triumphed at the end of the day after losing a handful of chances in a game that the Gunners were dominant performance from start to the last minute.

On the wasted chances, all thanks to the Brighton goalkeeper, Bart Verbruggen and the brave visiting defenders who threw themselves in front of chances in large numbers.

The efforts of Arsenal was crowned with a goal after the halftime as Gabriel Jesus went ahead to put Arsenal ahead on the score line in 53rd minute with a header off a corner, but it wasn’t quite signed and sealed just yet.

While Arsenal wasted some chances, Brighton thought it was time for them to take advantage of the scoring opportunities, but the closest attempt by Pascal Gross was not converted in the last 10 minutes.

With three minutes to go in regulation, the Gunners then wasted no time sealing the three points, as Kai Havertz finally put the match out of reach.

Meanwhile, Liverpool host Manchester United with an opportunity to leap-frog back in front.
