Manchester City assistant coach  Mikel Arteta is expected to be named by Arsenal as  the next Gunners  manager today after agreeing a compensation package for his position at City.

This development has occurred as a result of the sack of former coach Unai Emery, and the need to fill the position that an interim coach, Freddie Ljungberg is occupying at the moment.

So far, an agreement has been reached by the Spaniard, as the Man City players and staff, have bid him farewell from the club.

Arteta would certainly be unveiled to the media, which is the reason  Arsenal postponed their planned Thursday press conference ahead of this weekend’s Everton match with a media briefing which will take place today.
