D’Tigress on Tuesday hammered Cameroon 106-39 in their second match of the ongoing FIBA Women’s Afrobasket at the Dakar Arena in Senegal.

The team have automatically booked a quarter-final ticket after finishing top of Group B.

The girls took the second quarter 28-16 heading into half-time with a comfortable 26-point lead, ending the half 49-23.

The Nigerians continued the intensity in the third quarter, outscoring their opponents 23-10, before taking the final set 34-6 and ending the game with a difference of 67 points.

Reacting to the game, former captain of the team, Aisha Mohammed, who played in the loss to Cameroon in 2015, said the win meant a lot to the team and more importantly, they want to retain their title.
