Manchester City have set Leroy Sane’s asking price at £145 million ($175m)

Bayern are in hot pursuit of the Germany international as they look to capture the winger.

The Germany international has long been linked this off-season with a move to the Bundesliga champions but the Premier Legue title holders have been left angered by the Bavarian side’s public pursuit.

If Bayern are to ultimately pay up, it will represent one of the most expensive transfers in history.

Meanwhile, the City winger has a Nike deal worth £750,000 per year.

The deal expires in 2020 and has sparked a tussle which could impact where the German plays next.

Adidas want Sane as the face of his national team and the firm have a say at Bayern Munich, who are after the £80m-rated star.

But City’s new shirt sponsors Puma also hope to add him to their stable and keep the 23-year-old at the Etihad.

Bayern will step up their attempts to sign Sane when he returns from holiday in a move that could end of their pursuit of Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi.

With the Chelsea starlet out of contract next summer, Bayern tested the water by launching bids of up to £35million earlier in the summer – which were rejected.
