Everton U18 goal king Korede Adedoyin has arrived the camp of the Nigeria U20 team in Germany for preparations ahead of the U20 World Youth Championship in Poland.

Adedoyin was called up by coach of the Nigerian team Paul Aigbogun as replacement for German-Nigerian forward Chimezie Ekene who pulled out of the squad citing an injury picked up for the U23s of Hoffenheim as reason behind his withdrawal.

He will officially start training with the team later today where he will be hoping to replicate his fine form for Everton this season where he has 12 goals in 14 games in the U18 Premier League.

An excited Adedoyin posted his arrival at the camp of the team who were beaten 1-2 yesterday by Saudi Arabia in their second test game after drawing 3-3 in their first test game against Freiburg U23.

His arrival means the coaches now have three options in attack to run the rule on before deciding on their squad for the tournament with Jerome Akor and Tijani Muhammed completing the list.

Eligible to play for England, Adedoyin decision to play for Nigeria didn’t come as a surprise to many because he has long stated his intention to represent Nigeria at international level.
