Super Eagles fringe attackers, Samuel Chukwueze and Victor Osimhen on Sunday fired warning signals to their groups opponents at this year’s Africa Cup of Nations opponents after they got on the scorer sheet for their respective clubs.

The players have wasted no time in showing their readiness to fight for a shirt ahead of the tournament which kicks off in June.

In Spain, Chukwueze struck in the seventh minute to secure the three points for Villarreal who defeated Girona by a lone goal in a La Liga clash.

The Nigerian who was booked in the 76th minute before he was replaced immediately has now scored five goals in 19 La Liga games for the Yellow Submarines this season.

Osimhen scored in the 90th minute to extend Charleroi’s lead after Adama Niane had given the home side the lead in the 67th minute.

The former junior international has now scored 13 league goals in 27 games for Sporting this season.
