Manchester United forwards, Marcus Rashford and Alexis Sanchez, have returned to training ahead of their Champions League clash with Barcelona.
United welcome Barcelona to Old Trafford on Wednesday night for the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final.
Rashford missed United’s last game against Wolves with an ankle injury, but was spotted in training on Tuesday morning. The striker though did not train with the main group as he worked on his fitness by himself.
Sanchez has not played since March due to a knee injury, but is finally back in training. However, Eric Bailly, Ander Herrera, Nemanja Matic and Antonio Valencia were all missing from the session.
Herrera has been struggling with a hip problem in recent weeks, while Matic was named on the bench for the game against Wolves.
The absence of the midfield duo would leave Ole Gunnar Solskjaer without many options in the middle of the park. United are the underdogs to progress past Barcelona into the semi-finals, but the winner will book a clash with either Liverpool or Porto in the final four.
Full United training squad: David de Gea, Sergio Romero, Lee Grant, Phil Jones, Diogo Dalot, Mattero Darmian, Marcus Rojo, Ashley Young, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw, Chris Smalling, Scott McTominay, Andreas Pereira, Fred, James Garner, Angel Gomes, Paul Pogba, Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford, Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez, Anthony Martial.
