Rising Nigeria boxing prospect, Efe Ajagba will return to the ring on April 27th to fight Michael Wallisch in a 10-round heavyweight affair in USA.

The fight, which is part of the under-card fights for the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) World Lightweight Title clash between Robert Easter Jr and Rances Barthelemy, will take place at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Las Vegas.

Ajagba hopes to remain unbeaten against the once beaten German who won his first 19 fights after turning professional in 2010.

Wallisch, 33, beat Fabio Tuiach in 2015 to win the vacant World Boxing Organization (WBO) European Heavyweight Title and successfully defended the title by beating Ivica Bacurin in 2016.

Wallisch won the vacant Global Boxing Union World Heavyweight Title by beating Bernard Adie early 2018 but lost the WBO European title in December when he was hammered by Christian Hammer in the 5th round in the only loss in 19 professional fights.

24-year-old Ughelli- born Ajagba has won eight out of nine fights via knockouts and was recognized by Houston Boxing Awards as the biggest discovery of 2018.

Ajagba, who was Nigeria’s sole representative at the Rio Olympics boxing event in 2016, beat Amir Mansour via a second-round knockout at the Dignity Health Sports Park , Carson, California last month.
