Anthony Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed Wladimir Klitschko wants to return to boxing.

Klitschko retired in 2017 following his loss to Joshua after a thrilling fight at London’s Wembley Stadium.

Despite suffering defeat via knockout, he put up a strong performance which included dropping Joshua to the canvas.

Now, the Ukrainian is looking to return to the sport and potentially reign supreme again.

‘He wants to come back’ Hearn told iFL TV. ‘I think he text AJ and said: ‘I want to come back. I feel like I beat everyone in the division right now’.’

As well as fighting Joshua, Klitschko also fought fellow heavyweight Tyson Fury back in November 2015 in Germany. Klitschko lost to Fury via decision, and then went on to fight Joshua 18 months later for the IBF and WBA heavyweight belts.
