Super Eagles captain, Mikel Obi, has set his sight on returning to Europe during the January transfer window, after spending two years in China with Tianjin TEDA.

According to a report in AOIFootball.com on Tuesday, the former Chelsea midfielder confided in a close source how he was missing life in Europe and wanted to get closer to his family.

Mikel, 31, currently has 18 months left on his current deal with Teda after joining on a free transfer from Chelsea in January 2017 transfer window.

Having previously played in Norway and England, Mikel could seek a journey to another top European country as he bids to get closer to his family who are currently based in the UK.
