England’s Three Lions reached their first World Cup semi-final in twenty eight years with a convincing two-nil win over Sweden in Samara, Russia.

Harry Maguire put the English ahead, heading in from a corner in the thirtieth minute and Dele Alli sealed victory with another header from open play ten minutes after the break.

The win for Gareth Southgate’s side sees them equal their Italia Ninety display.

England now await the winner of the last quarter final between Russia and Croatia for Wednesday’s semi-final fixture.
