The President of the Nigeria Football Federation, President, Amaju Pinnick has been appointed the new First Vice President of the Confederation of African Football.
CAF stated in a communique that Pinnick was appointed after body’s President, Dr. Ahmad Ahmad consulted the members of the emergency committee.
Amaju’s appointment follows the resignation of Ghana FA boss, Kwesi Nyantakyi after being implicated in a corruption scandal in his home country.
CAF also confirmed Amaju’s appointment takes immediate effect and is expected to be ratified by its executive committee in their session in September.
