Gernot Rohr and his lieutenants are touring Europe to scout for strikers for Nigeria senior national football team.
After two friendlies towards Russia 2018 Fifa World Cup, it is obvious that the Super Eagles is lacking in a quality striker.
The trio of Odion Ighalo, Kelechi Ihenacho and Alex Iwobi failed to impress against Poland and Serbia friendly matches that saw the Super Eagles missing so many chances.
The team defeated Poland from the penalty spot after it threw away so many chances.
The team lost to Serbia in a match that where all the strikers went to sleep. Junior Ajayi who plays professional football in Egypt had to come in as substitute for Odion Ighalo two minutes to the end of the game against Serbia.
The present crops of strikers in Super Eagles are not likely to perform wonders in the world cup. Rohr will need to do more to bring in a quality striker before the tournament or else it may spell doom for the former African Champions.
