Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is considering to make a surprise bid for Juventus' Dani Alves to bolster his defensive options.
After releasing Bacary Sagna and Pblo Zabaleta, City lack the services of an experienced right-back.
Although Tottenham's Kyle Walker has been on Guardiola's radar, it has been gathered that he could turn to 34-year-old Alves in a surprise move. Alves was very instrumental in Juve's hunt for a champions league triumph this year but were beaten by Real Madrid in the finals on 3 June.
It is thought that Juventus will be willing to let the Brazilian leave for about £5m.
Guardiola brought Alves to Barcelona from Sevilla in 2008 for £23m.
The pair went on to win two Spanish Cups, three La Liga titles and two Champions League trophies together before Guardiola left the Nou Camp in 2012.
