    Paul Pogba

The 2016/2017 English Premier League season started with so much expectation from the big clubs owing to a disappointing 2015/2016 season which saw Leicester City emerge champions against all odds.

In the wake of this, the "Big Clubs" (Both Manchester Clubs, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool) went shopping for new players to bolster up their sides to become strong title contenders.

The biggest transfer saw Manchester United pay £89m to Juventus for the services of French International Paul Pogba.

His arrival meant that Manchester United had broken the world record tranfer fee previously held by Real Madrid when they bought Gareth Bale from Tottenham for £85m.

Upon his arrival back in England, expectations soared for Paul Pogba to prove his worth.

After showing stuttering signs of class in most of United's matches especially during their 9-game unbeaten run, critics were eager to see if he could live up to the billing when Manchester United hosted Liverpool in Sunday's EPL headliner.

The game kicked off and all eyes were fixated on the £89m man who recently got his own Emoji and hashtag on Twitter not forgetting the haircut with a dyed P inscribed in it which seemed to match Liverpool's jersey.

The 23 year old's evening soon turned into a horror show when he confusingly flung his hands in the air from a Liverpool corner. Mike Oliver was spot on to give a penalty to the visitors which Milner sweetly struck home.

From one disappointing display to another, Pogba gave Henderson an EPL version of the WWE chokeslam which went unnoticed by the referee.

The French man also gave away possession needlessly in vital areas and was spared the blushes when Ibrahimovich headed in the equalizer in the 82nd minute to salvage a point for the hosts.

According to many on social media, this was by far Pogba's most disappointing display in a United shirt and this brought his transfer fee under huge scrutiny.

The queston beckons, is Paul Pogba worth the amount Manchester United paid for him or is he still too young to prove his worth just yet?
