In the wake of the violence  which rocked the nation’s capital on Monday, the plenary session of the House of Representatives was rowdy on Tuesday,

There were heated arguments over a motion sponsored by Representative Bello Samsudeen from Kano State who expressed worry that the development
if not checked could lead to a breakdown of  law and order.

Some of the Lawmakers are calling for the proscription of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria.

However the bone of contention rose from the amendment to the motion
which urged the federal government to obey court orders and release the
leader of the IMN, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky.

With the failure of the first amendment another was proposed by representative Linda Ikpeazu urging the Kaduna State government to
obey court orders.

Again a division arose and in the final analysis, the presiding officer asked for a head count.
