No fewer than 10 people died in a motor accident along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Tuesday night.

The accident occurred when a commercial bus driver rammed into a Dangote Cement truck at Alapako/Ogunmakin end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The road was diverted by the RCC construction firm at the area, making the vehicles to take one way.

However, the commercial driver, according to eyewitnesses was reckless as he left his lane to overtake but collided with the approaching truck.

Eleven passengers were said to have been trapped in the mangled bus while officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps struggled to rescue them.

The FRSC Route Commander, Florence Okpe, who spoke for the Sector Commander, Clement Ogundele, called on the deceased’s families to come forward for their corpses which had been deposited in FOS mortuary, Ipara.
