Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose has described the recent killings by Fulani herdsmen of people in Benue State as an act of terrorism.
In a series of tweets on his twitter account, the governor said that the killings had attained a frightening dimension and should not be seen as ordinary clash between farmers and herdsmen.
President Muhammadu Buhari and Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom had a closed door meeting inside Aso Rock on Tuesday to stop the perennial ethnic clash in the state.
Buhari had ordered the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris to relocate to Benue and provide necessary security for the citizens.
But to Fayose, what is happening in Benue and other middle-belt States is more than a conflict between herdsmen and local farmers, it has gotten to the level of terrorism and ethnic cleansing.
