He disclosed to our correspondent that the herdsmen do not only carry sophisticated arms, they usually command their cows to attack farmers, calling on the Federal Government to stop the open graze system now.
“They are fetish. Their cows listen to them. Many farmers were killed by cows not by bullet,” he said.
Segun stated that some years back the herdsmen terrorized many parts of Oke Ogun with their cattle where they destroyed crops and killed farmers.
“It took God intervention and the rise of our traditional hunters who were also good at charms to stop the activities of the nomadic herdsmen,” he said.
He explained that the Fulani herdsmen were of two types but that the wilder of them was the “Bororo”, adding, “This one can kill at any slight argument. Their cows are also wild. It can kill at any small command by the owner.”
