    Scene of the incident

    Resident of Dyang Village of Rim in Riyom  local government area of Plateau State are in mourning following the killing of 11 people in the area on Tuesday night.

    The victims were returning from the Market when their vehicle was ambushed by the yet to be identified gunmen.

    The driver of the vehicle who escaped said there were 15 passengers in the vehicle as at the time of the incident.

    The fate of the remaining 3 Passengers is still unknown
    The attack reportedly  took place around 7.30 p.m.

    Mr Terna Tyopev, Plateau Police Command Spokesman Terna Tyopev confirmed the attack to newsmen.

    He said that those injured had been taken to Christian Hospital, Vom.

    The police spokesperson who said no arrest has been made however promised that the police will unmask the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

    He appealed to the affected community to be calm and resist the temptation to take the law into their hands
