Internally Displaced Persons in the Federal Capital Territory have expressed their desire to return home since they were forced to flee the Boko Haram insurgency in the North East over two years ago.
Now that the military has captured the strong hold of the insurgents in Sambisa Forest and liberated communities, many have started returning.
In another development, the Muslim Students' Society of Nigeria, Lagos State area unit has commended the Court of Appeal for striking out a motion seeking an injunction to stop hijab usage.
The court of appeal had earlier struck out the motion filed by the Lagos State Government praying the court to stop the use of hijab in public and secondary schools in the state pending the ruling of the Supreme Court on the matter.
After hearing from both parties, the presiding Justice, Muhammad Garba, struck out the motion.
The Amir of MSSN Lagos state area unit, Dr. saheed Ashafa, applauded the judgement, saying it would further strengthen fundamental human rights as enshrined in the constitution.
