Renowned pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (Coza) Biodun Fatoyinbo, has returned to the pulpit.

Pastor Fatoyinbo who is the founder and senior pastor of the church, located in Abuja, was accused on the 28 June by a celebrity photographer of raping her twice when she was a teenager.

After so much hullabaloo and talk about the rape story that went viral, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo was asked to step, which he did, and has returned a month after the ‘’leave of absence’’ he observed.

The pastor’s return to the pulpit has stirred so much reaction, especially from the social media and twitter especially.

According to a twitter user, whose name is Moyinoluwalogo, he stated that,

‘’Y’all really thought Fatoyinbo would step permanently as the head pastor of COZA. Lol…tap your forehead three times.

Now wake up.’’

So far, Pastor Fatoyinbo has denied the accusation and the police are currently investigating the case.

He said he was taking a leave of absence on 1 July after protesters at branches of the church called for him to step down.

In a packed church on Sunday, the pastor delivered a sermon titled, Sudden Victories.

Taking a cue from his current situation, the pastor said, christians would always face persecution, but God would ensure that they were victorious.

From the message is the quote whic says: ”As a Christian, you must face opposition. If God, who is holy and faithful has enemies, you are sure going to have.”

As a Christian, you must face opposition. If God, who is holy and faithful has enemies, you are sure going to have.”

Speaking on his comeback to the pulpit, another twitter user called Morgan said he his hope in Nigeria is lost. As he stated that, ‘’So Biodun Fatoyinbo is back on the Pulpit…..I lose hope in Nigeria again’’

Ms Dakolo, who is married to popular musician Timi Dakolo, made the allegation of rape in a video that went viral on social media, with some saying it has triggered Nigeria’s #MeToo moment.

Another view from a twitter user Segun Hassan stated that, Timi Dakolo and his wife are not serious about the issue since Pastor Fatoyinbo came back. He twitted saying that,

‘’Why is she and her husband not suing Biodun Fatoyinbo already? Didn’t they know he’s back on the pulpit and the whole matter is about to go down the drain without no nothing? Are they really serious about this justice they have been clamoring for’?’’
