The world’s longest annual non-stop gospel concert to celebrate the 76th birthday of Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the General Overseer, RCCG Worldwide began on Monday.
The 76 Hours Marathon Messiah’s Praise has been eventful since yesterday.
According to the RCCG’s Director of Music, the legendary Pastor Kunle Ajayi, the 76-hour Marathon Messiah’s Praise, entitled “The Great Redeemer”, will hold from February 26th to March 1st, 2018 in 16 countries involving over 150 worship ministers and choral groups.
The 76 Hours Marathon Messiah’s Praise kicked off by 11:00am on the 26th of February, 2018 in Nigeria at the Youth Centre, Redemption Camp, Km 46, Lagos/Ibadan Expressway.
“We are dedicating 76 out of the 8,760 hours of the year to praise God for the life of Daddy Adeboye,” Ajayi said.
“In addition, with the help of the Holy Spirit, through Marathon Messiah’s Praise we aim to usher in a new pattern of worship that will redefine the perspective of men to worship and praise in this dispensation.”
“Countries that will be participating this year are Nigeria, United States of America, Canada, England, Australia, Spain, Scotland, United Arab Emirates, Cameroon, Kenya, Netherlands, Sweden, Malaysia, South Africa and Ireland.”
“This is a giant step in our quest to bring Marathon Messiah’s Praise to the doorstep of every living being,” he said.
The project co-coordinator, Pastor Femi Oyetunde, on his part, said over 4,000 people have registered to volunteer in various departments including music, sanitation, welfare, medical and in other various key sections of the programme across the participating countries.
He disclosed that over 100,000 live participants are expected to be in attendance with over 10 Million viewers expected to watch the event on TV and social media channels.
Pastor Femi Oyetunde added that accommodation and welfare have been made available for all the people who have registered as volunteers and participants while the security of lives and properties for all the participants are guaranteed by the help of the Great Redeemer.
He assured the millions of people who are looking forward to 76 Hours that the event will be aired live on Kwese TV Channel 800, and on DSTV, Dove TV Channel 349.
He further stressed that Dove TV will be broadcasting the mix of foreign participating countries and Nigeria stream, while Kwese TV Channel 800 will be broadcasting the Nigerian event.
Other Nigerian TV Channels will also be broadcasting the Nigerian stream.
