Senator Dino Melaye was on Wednesday, prevented by security operatives from gaining access to national headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission to submit “additional petition.”

According to a reliable source, the place was saturated with tension as journalists were also barred from entering the place, resulting into the seizure of his camera which was later released as a result of Melaye’s intervention

Melaye, who contested in November 16 elections in Kogi West later, had his way into the INEC office.

He did not only go in but ushered in journalist and supporters also insisting that he would not leave until a National Commissioner comes to receive the petition.

The election was said to have been marred by violence and electoral malpractices.
