Almost 24 hours after Mrs Winifred Oyo-Ita, Head of Civil Service of the Federation, was directed to proceed on indefinite leave, President Muhammadu Buhari decided to meet with Service Chiefs at the presidential villa on Thursday.
According to a reliable source, the meeting which was behind closed doors had its agenda unknown as of the time of filing the report
So far, Information coming as a statement issued from the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation on Wednesday said, Oyo-Ita’s indefinite leave was to allow the conclusion of the investigation being carried out by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
Another source also, gathered that the service chiefs will play the role of briefing the president on the nation’s security developments in preparation for the UN General Assembly engagements.
On Sept 22 the President will attend the 74th Session of UN General Assembly in New York.
