Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State says his government is set to put in place a 20- year Development Agenda to save the state from under-performing.

According to him, previous governments tried their best but under-achieved because they operated on an ad-hoc basis.

The Governor,  stated this at the end of a two- day Executive Retreat for his Executive Council members and senior aides, at the International Institute for Tropical Agriculture (IITA), IBADAN.

Makinde  said that the administration was setting a high bar for its development objectives and will be bullish in implementing it.

According to him, civil servants will be empowered to do their job but that the government will demand accountability.
