Individuals, Corporate, socio-political groups in the Six Southwest States of Nigeria have hailed the emergence of the Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi as the new Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum.

Governor Fayemi was on Wednesday Night unanimously elected by other 35 states Governors to succeed Abdulaziz Yari with the Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal to serve as the new Vice Chairman.

Among those hailing Governor Fayemi’s emergence, is the imediate past Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose who described it as well deserved to him and the people of Ekiti.

Also, the Organised Labour in the SouthWest States speaking through the Ekiti State Chairman of the Trade Union Congress, TUC, Sola Adigun, commended the States Governors for identifying the Leadership quality of Governor Fayemi to lead them at this critical period of socio-economic instability and insecurity across the country.

Meanwhile, Governorship Aspirants on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the 2018 Ekiti State Governorship Race, led by Kayode Ojo have admonished Governor Fayemi to bring on board developmental initiatives that would raise the bar of performance, and change the mindsets that the forum remains a veritable platform to fight political battles or gain national prominence.
