Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is currently having a closed-door meeting with former Senate Leader, Senator Ali Ndume at the presidential villa, FCT, Abuja.

Ndume arrived Aso Rock a few minutes after 2pm for the meeting. There was no prior information about the agenda of the meeting but it might be over the senate leadership in the ninth assembly.

Ndume signified his intention to contest for the senate first seat despite the nomination of Senator Ahmad Lawal by the leadership of the All Progressives Congress.

It was gathered that President Muhammadu Buhari had thrown his weight behind Lawan as he preferred him to any other senator to work with.

Also in the race is Senator Danjuma Goje.
