There are indications that the leadership of the All Progressives Congress may have thrown its weight behind a south-south deputy senate president.
This was revealed by the National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshimhole at a news briefing over the weekend.
Recalled that the party had thrown its weight behind Senator Ahmad Lawal as its candidate for the senate president seat.
Though, he did not name the senator, our correspondent gathered that the APC leader might be referring to Senator Francis Alimekhena who is representing Edo north senatorial district.
According to Oshimhole’s spokesperson Simon Egbebulem, said the party had already zoned the position to the south south.
