There are strong indications that the three governors on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the southeast may have resolved to give 25 per cent of their votes to the All Progressives Congress, APC presidential candidate in the February 16 election.
It was gathered that the governors met in Enugu State a few days ago where they resolved to do so as they also sought second term in office.
Except Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state who belongs to the APC and Willie Obiano of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), the three PDP governors in the region, Dave Umahi, Ebonyi; Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Enugu and Okezie Ikpeazu, Abia are all running for a second term.
Umahi had in particular been openly supportive of Buhari’s second term and was only last week endorsed by traditional rulers in the state who at the same time endorsed Buhari.
To them, giving 25 per cent of the votes cannot make them lose their second term bid while the results will help Buhari to win for second term.
