The Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos has condemned the All Progressives Congress rally where some people were killed on Tuesday.
The PDP chieftains led by the party former National Deputy Chairman, South West, Chief Bode George said that the state must be rescued from people who had turned it to their personal property.
It would be recalled that factional group of the NURTW stormed the venue of the campaign in Ikeja, shooting repeatedly at the crowd.
It was reported that five people died during the shooting while three journalists of the Nation, New Telegraph and Radio Nigeria were hit by stray bullet.
The NURTW boss, MC Oluoomo was also stabbed by the irate mob who invaded the campaign ground.
Present at the PDP meeting were former Minister of Transportation, Chief Ebenezer Babatope; former Lagos State Deputy Governor, Kofoworola Akerele-Bucknor; former Minister of Work, Adeseye Ogunlewe, Dr. Eddy Olafeso and other party chieftains.
George said: “Our party has now come out on a mission of rescue and salvage. Lagos must be redeemed and unchained from the manacles of APC.
