The Lagos State All Progressive Congress Gubernatorial rally has been marred with violence.
The violence reportedly escalated when the former state treasurer of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Musiliu Akinsanya popularly known as Oluomo was publicly attacked by members of a rival faction.
Reports reaching us states that the violence occurred, when the Incumbent Governor of Lagos State Akinwumi Ambode, was making his speech.
So far, party members and supporters have scampered for safety after sporadic shooting into the air by security operatives.
As a result of the heated situation, the governor and the candidate Babajide Sanwo-Olu, were whisked away from the venue.
The actual cause of the attack is yet unknown as the party is yet to make official statement
