The National leader of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC), Dr. Fredrick Fasheun is dead.

The Ondo born Nigerian medical doctor and global figure, died on Friday night at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja.

Confirming his death, Fasehun’s Spokesman, Mr. Adeoye, said the late OPC founder was confirmed dead after a brief illness.

Fredrick Fasheun who died at the age of 80, agitated against the annulment of the mandate of chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola, who won the presidential election of 12 June 1993 but was barred from office.

He was also a medical doctor, hotel owner and was responsible for the recent revival of the Unity Party of Nigeria, a party formed by the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo in the 1970s.
