There are indications that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission may speed up legal process against the immediate past Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose over allegation of money laundering.

The former governor presented himself to the anti-graft agency on Tuesday and had been in the custody for interrogation.

A source at the EFCC said that the commission might charge the former governor to court within a short time.

According to a source at the EFCC, Fayose is not cooperating with a team of interrogators as he has continually denied the alleged receipt of N1.3 billion from the office of the former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki in 2014.

Meanwhile, the commission presented to Fayose some pictures of some properties in choice areas of Lagos and Abuja linked to the former governor, which were allegedly acquired with the proceeds of crime.
