Farmers and other residents in Lagos State have been enjoined to collect their Permanent Voters Card before the expiration of the exercise on Friday.
The call was made at one day sensitisation rally organised by Human and Environmental Development Agenda (HEDA) for All Farmers Association of Nigeria in Mainland Local Government Area of the state.
The farmers defied rain to move round of some of the streets around Oyingbo Market to sensitise the people about the importance of collecting their PVC ahead of 2019 general election.
One of the organisers, SINA ODUGBEMI of HEDA while addressing both the farmers and traders at Oyingbo urged the people not to abandone their civic responsibility.
According to him, “without your PVC, you are powerless, without your PVC, you can only complain, you cannot contribute.
That is why we are calling on everybody to get your PVC and express your political choice on the day of election.”
For his part, Nelson Ekujumi also urged the people and the farmers to take their destiny into their hands by registering to collect their PVC.
In his response, President of Agbeloba Independent Group, Lateef Lasisi commended HEDA for bringing the sensitisation exercise to Mainland.
He assure that all the farmer associations in the area will ensure their members are well mobilised to collect their PVC.
